Employability
Development Worker
Reporting to Client Services
Manager, the post holders
primary role is to engage with 16-18 year old clients to deliver
employability development programmes that support clients along the
employability pathway, towards the ultimate goal of sustainable
employment and other
relevant progression. The role also requires the development of
employer partnerships to create appropriate opportunities for the
young people.
Other main duties involve:
Provide advice, training and support to get
clients into work and to secure work opportunities with employers
Liaising with clients and responding to their
individual needs
Review clients progress and complete accurately
internal paperwork required
Ensuring all paperwork is accurate and up to date
Attend staff meetings as required
Assisting in overseeing the general welfare of
clients and to discuss any matter of concern with appropriate Line
Manager
Implement and adhere to strategic and operational
plans including Health and Safety, Equal Opportunities, Child
Protection and where appropriate contribute to the continuous
improvement of business processes according to the Quality Assurance
procedures
Establish robust positive relationships with
employers to achieve suitable placements / Support clients and
employers to reduce or overcome barriers to employment
Methodically plan, organise and implement your
work to meet the required timescales, targets and standards as set
by STF which includes maintaining your records and managing your own
diary
Provide assistance to work colleagues
Formulation of clients training/personal
development plans and review these accordingly
N.B. The successful candidate will be required to
undergo an Enhanced Disclosure
Experience / Qualifications
SVQ Level 3 in an appropriate discipline and/or
equivalent experience of 2 years or more in a similar role/context
Working within Employability, personal
development, youth work, adult learning, guidance, vocational
training or associated field of work
Working with young people or adults
Full Driving Licence
Candidates will need the following personal attributes

Ability to work under pressure and to be flexible
Mature and calm approach to work
Ability to schedule own appointments to meet
targets and timescales

The position is full time permanent with a trial
period of six months
Salary Grade:
G15 – G18 £17,000
- £18,500
